Here’s how to flock your 6-foot artificial Christmas tree.

Materials:

  • Christmas tree (which you already have)
  • A bag of pure white SnoFlock
  • Garden hose and nozzle with mister
  • Spray bottle

Instructions

  1. Carefully check out the branches of your artificial Christmas tree to ensure none is bent or twined with another.
  2. Spray your Christmas tree with water using a spray bottle of a garden nozzle.
  3. Spray the Christmas tree with SnoFlock starting from the top of the tree and work your way downward. You can use a kitchen sifter and a spray bottle to spread the SnoFlock on the tree.
  4. Alternatively, follow the instructions on the SnoFlock package to sift the powder on the tree.
  5. Repeat instruction 3 again, this time, be gentler and ensure that all the branches are covered with SnoFlock. For a more original look, keep the beneath of each branch clear of SnoFlock.
  6. Now, let the flocking dry thoroughly. This will take up to an hour or two.
  7. Decorate your tree.

It is also advisable that you wear a safety glass, a nose cover or mask, a pair of rubber gloves and boots when flocking. Ensure that this process is carried out in an airtight environment. The best option is in a basement or an airtight room.
