Here’s how to flock your 6-foot artificial Christmas tree.
Materials:
- Christmas tree (which you already have)
- A bag of pure white SnoFlock
- Garden hose and nozzle with mister
- Spray bottle
Instructions
- Carefully check out the branches of your artificial Christmas tree to ensure none is bent or twined with another.
- Spray your Christmas tree with water using a spray bottle of a garden nozzle.
- Spray the Christmas tree with SnoFlock starting from the top of the tree and work your way downward. You can use a kitchen sifter and a spray bottle to spread the SnoFlock on the tree.
- Alternatively, follow the instructions on the SnoFlock package to sift the powder on the tree.
- Repeat instruction 3 again, this time, be gentler and ensure that all the branches are covered with SnoFlock. For a more original look, keep the beneath of each branch clear of SnoFlock.
- Now, let the flocking dry thoroughly. This will take up to an hour or two.
- Decorate your tree.
It is also advisable that you wear a safety glass, a nose cover or mask, a pair of rubber gloves and boots when flocking. Ensure that this process is carried out in an airtight environment. The best option is in a basement or an airtight room.
